About ICPCE 2022

ICPCE 2022 brings together a collaborative scientific community to advance and support rigorous, evidence-based empirical research in the intertwined fields of psychology, counselling, and education.

Dr Vicki Gier

Mississippi State University-Meridian (United States)

Dr Vicki Gier

Dr Vicki Gier is a full professor of psychology at Mississippi State University (MSU)-Meridian’s Arts and Sciences Division. Dr Gier began her academic career at the University of Central Missouri participating in the McNair Scholars Program, which prepares first-generation, low-income university students to complete their doctorates. Dr Gier teaches both experimental psychology biological psychology courses. During ICPCE 2022, she will share her research on missing people.

Dr Laura Jenkins

Loughborough University (United Kingdom)

Dr Laura Jenkins

Dr Laura Jenkins has held academic teaching positions at Northumbria University, Oxford Brookes University, and the University of Strathclyde before moving to Loughborough University in 2018. Dr Jenkins is a Chartered Psychologist (CPsychol) with the British Psychological Society and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. During ICPCE 2022, she will share her research on dark triad personality traits in relation to students’ responsibility for their own learning.
